About the Podcast
The Unfolding Thought Podcast explores how people think and how those beliefs shape behavior.
The intent is not debate or performance. The goal is a thoughtful conversation that produces insight for listeners.
Conversations are designed to be reflective, practical, and useful long after publication.
Conversation Style
- Natural, unscripted dialogue
- A short list of possible questions shared in advance
- Questions are guideposts, not a fixed agenda
- You can pause, restate, or redirect at any point
The best episodes feel like two thoughtful people exploring an idea rather than completing an interview.
Recording Time
Typically 90 minutes total time.
The conversation itself usually runs just over an hour. The additional time allows for introductions, technical checks, and natural pacing, so nothing feels rushed or artificially constrained.
Many guests finish earlier than the booking window.
Preparation
We prepare extensively for every episode. If you are an author or subject-matter expert, we will have purchased your work, read it, and taken detailed notes beforehand.
We ask guests to arrive similarly prepared by listening to at least one recent episode so you understand the tone, pacing, and style of the conversation.
The goal is simple: both sides show up ready so the conversation can go deeper than a standard interview.

- Recording via Zencastr.
- No software required.

Final Note
The goal is straightforward: a relaxed, intelligent conversation that respects your time and creates lasting value for listeners.
If you’re reading this, I’m looking forward to talking with you.

FAQs
How long is the final episode?
Most episodes run 60–80 minutes.
Why do you require a 90-minute booking if the episode runs about an hour?
The additional time ensures the conversation never feels rushed. We use it for introductions, technical checks, alignment, and natural pacing.
It also protects against the realities of recording. Guests occasionally join late, need to reconnect, restart, or troubleshoot audio. Building in margin prevents a strong conversation from being compressed or compromised. Most guests finish early. The extra time exists so we never have to cut short something meaningful.
Isn’t that long for a podcast?
Not for our audience. The show is intentionally long-form. Listeners come for depth and reflection, not quick segments. The format works well for people who value thoughtful conversation.
Will I receive questions in advance?
Yes. You’ll receive a short list of possible questions when the recording link is sent. They are guideposts, not a script. The conversation evolves naturally. If there are topics you would like to emphasize or avoid, you are welcome to share them.
Is preparation required?
Yes. Please listen to at least one recent episode so you understand tone and format.
If you are an author or subject-matter expert, we will have read your work and prepared in advance. We expect guests to invest similar care in understanding the show.
Why do you invest so heavily in preparation?
Because preparation shows. It leads to deeper questions, stronger dialogue, and a more valuable experience for listeners and guests.
What happens if I show up unprepared?
The quality of the conversation reflects the preparation on both sides. We prepare thoroughly and expect guests to do the same.
Can I promote my book, product, or service?
Please do. We want to create an episode that makes listeners want to learn more about your work. Having somewhere to direct them is helpful.
That said, this is not a promotional interview. The focus is insight, ideas, and value for listeners.
Is the podcast audio, video, or both?
Both. We record video and audio.
Most listeners consume the audio version, but video is essential for clips and distribution. Clips help new listeners discover your episode and make it easier to share your appearance.
Can I review the episode before it goes live?
When possible, yes. We almost always share a draft prior to release.
What technical setup do you require?
Recording is browser-based via Zencastr. Chrome, Edge, or Brave are required for that.
An external microphone and headphones are strongly recommended.
What if something goes wrong?
That is precisely why we build margin into the booking window. Restarts and minor disruptions are common and easily handled.
What kinds of guests are not a good fit?
If you are looking for a rapid promotional appearance or a tightly scripted segment, this may not be the right platform.
The show is designed for thoughtful exploration of why people think the way they do and how that shapes behavior. If that is not your interest, it is likely not the right fit.
